Angel in the Mountains

Gustav Anděl is a transport inspector. He is known as a grumpy man. His son Mirek is about to marry. The young woman he is engaged to is called Věra. The father wants a closer look at her. For that he goes up to the mountains in winter. The place he goes to is the High Tatras. A snow holiday is under way there. Anděl studies the young woman without letting on. But he takes her for somebody else. The misunderstanding grows from there. The account is built on that mix-up. The film is put together as a comedy. It was made as a sequel to a film of 1952. Jaroslav Marvan takes the lead, with Josef Kemr also in the cast as the cellist Vyhlídka, in Bořivoj Zeman’s Czechoslovak comedy of 1955.
