What Animals Is About
Nick and Anna leave Vienna for six months in Switzerland; he is a chef collecting local recipes, she plans to write a new book. The trip might also help the marriage, because Anna suspects him of an affair. On the road they hit a sheep with the car, and after that everything comes loose: places, identities and time start running into one another. Greg Zglinski's film is a psychological thriller that gestures at metaphysics and refuses to explain itself. What is dream and what is not stays unsettled to the end, and that is a deliberate choice.
