Aniyathipraavu

Mini is the youngest in the house, and her mother and three brothers keep her at the centre of everything. She and Suddhi fall in love. When the brothers find out, the two households fall out at once. With help from friends the couple runs away from home. Just as they are about to marry they sit down and talk, and decide that the best way to prove their love is to go back to their families. The film builds the running away not as a rebellion but the return as a coming of age. The weight of the family’s approval is the real subject. Kunchacko Boban and Shalini appear in Fazil’s hundred and fifty minute Indian film, completed in 1997.
