What APEX: The Story of the Hypercar Is About
The documentary is about the world of the hypercar. At the centre of it is the Swede Christian von Koenigsegg, trying with a small company that carries his own name to build a car that can stand against Ferrari and Porsche. The film starts in his workshop and gets inside the closed development facilities at Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren and Pagani. Engineers and designers talk. Then it moves to the track, where the cars are driven flat out on a circuit in Germany. Josh Vietze directs; Zachary Levi narrates. Eighty-five minutes. It is about ambition as much as speed: a company of a few people trying to sit at the same table as the largest names in the world.
