Anna is a heart doctor, and she learns that after being diagnosed with a heart condition her father has taken off to Armenia, the country he came from. Their relationship has always been strained, but she decides to go and bring him back for the operation. Anna is hard headed and used to having her own way; she has no feeling for her father’s country and no patience for its politics or for the way people there get into each other’s lives. As the journey goes on, both of those attitudes begin to change. Ariane Ascaride plays the lead in Robert Guediguian’s hundred and twenty five minute French film, completed in 2006.
