Marie-Jo and Her 2 Loves

Marie-Jo lives in Marseille. Her husband Daniel runs a small building business she helps with, and she nurses at the local hospital. Their daughter Julie is finishing school. From outside it is a good marriage. For more than a year Marie-Jo has been in love with another man: Marco, a harbour pilot. She cannot give up either of them, and both of them know it. As long as she does not choose, all three will go on living like this. In the end she has to choose. Robert Guédiguian directs the French film; two hours and four minutes, with Ariane Ascaride as Marie-Jo and Jean-Pierre Darroussin as Daniel. Guédiguian has made his films in Marseille with the same actors for years; Ascaride is his wife and leads almost all of them.
