At All Costs

The documentary is about youth basketball in America. What it looks at are the leagues outside school. The name of that system is the AAU. The leagues are full of tournaments all year round. Recruiting universities pick players there. Shoe brands sponsor the teams. Youth basketball turns into a professional business that way. The film follows several young players. All of them are heavily recruited names. Their families are inside the story too. The coaches are making calculations of their own. Everyone has an eye on the same target. That target is a college scholarship and then the professional game. The hundred minute documentary carries the signature of Mike Nicoll, an American production finished in 2016.
