Walter is sixty and works as a removal man for eviction companies; his job is carrying out the belongings of people being put out of their homes. One day he realises that one of the tenants about to be evicted is Jan, the son he has not seen in years. He wants to help him, but to do that he has to face both his boss's crooked dealings and his own past. David Nawrath's film takes up gentrification directly: who is put out, who does the putting out, and who works in between. The telling declares Walter neither a victim nor a criminal; he has been doing this job for years and is only now seeing it up close. Rainer Bock plays Walter and Albrecht Schuch plays Jan. It is quiet, heavy and realistic.
