Over six months Neal, Wyatt, Henry, Lexi and Adam write the piece together, rehearse it and finally perform it; each has his or her own manner, own interests and own difficulties, and the film does not reduce these to a single definition. The camera also stays with the families: marriages, siblings, correspondence with schools and worry about the future are part of the account. The work goes on inside a theatre programme called the Miracle Project, founded by Elaine Hall. Tricia Regan’s ninety three minute American documentary was shown at Tribeca in 2007 and won two Emmys.
