What Avenue Montaigne Is About
Jessica comes to Paris from the provinces and takes a job waiting tables at a café on Avenue Montaigne. On that street there is a concert hall, a theatre and an auction house, and their people come into the café. A pianist tired of classical music, an actress trying to escape a television series for a serious part, and an old man selling off his collection all brush against each other across a single day. Danièle Thompson directed. Light, well meaning and predictable. The French title means the best seats in the house.
