Feluda and his cousin Topshe go to Lucknow for the holidays. Topshe’s father travels with them. They stay at the house of a family friend. A doctor comes to the house that evening. What he describes happened the night before. A thief got into his house and tried to take a ring. The ring is said to have belonged to Aurangzeb. The doctor is frightened and leaves it with their host for safekeeping. Then the ring goes missing from there too. Feluda and Topshe start looking into it. During the investigation they meet a strange neighbour. His house is full of poisonous and dangerous animals. The film is adapted from a novel of the same name by Satyajit Ray. It was the first time Abir Chatterjee played Feluda. Abir Chatterjee and Dipankar Dey appear in the hundred and nine minute film, an Indian production Sandip Ray finished in 2014.
