Becoming Italian with Signora Enrica

Signora Enrica is a woman living alone in Italy. Her husband left her years ago. Since that day she has kept to a vow. No man will come into her house. That rule is what people know her by. She makes her living from letting rooms. She lets them only to female students. She also works as a seamstress and sells jam at the market. One night there is a knock at her door. The person there is a Turkish student called Ekin. He has come to Italy to learn the language. At first Enrica will not let him in. Then she shares both her house and the warmth she had kept hidden. What is left of her husband is a son who comes asking for money. Claudia Cardinale and İsmail Hacıoğlu appear in the hundred and seven minute film, an Italian and Turkish co-production Ali İlhan finished in 2011.
