What Believe: The Eddie Izzard Story Is About
The cameras follow Eddie Izzard through an extremely difficult comeback tour and pick up the story behind some of her best loved material. Under heavy pressure to write before the Sexie tour in 2003, she went back into her own life, and the accidental journey that started there runs parallel to the world tour until it arrives at the source of that relentless drive. Sarah Townsend’s film includes her first student sketches, her street performances on a unicycle in Covent Garden, and the famous wolves routine. Funny and painful by turns.
