Khaled Diab's 2026 Egyptian comedy turns the pressure of the final school year into a cat and mouse game. A student invents a new method of cheating to get through his exams; the more it works, the further it spreads through the school and the bigger the business becomes. Against him stands a teacher who sees every trick, patient and at least as cunning. The film makes comic material out of the pressure the centralised examination system places on students and families, presenting cheating less as individual dishonesty than as a reflex produced by an impossible system. Hesham Maged's playing carries the pace. The story follows the familiar shapes of Egyptian popular comedy and seeks no surprises. Who it's for: viewers who like Arab popular comedy and light films set at school. Who it's not for: anyone wanting a serious critique of the education system; the film keeps the subject at the level of a joke.
