Vasanth and Aaranya are a newly married couple who move into a quiet row house. The aim is peace and privacy. In the first nights a violent storm begins and the two are trapped inside. The power goes, there is no phone signal, and unexplained things start happening in the house. Aaranya's behaviour changes. Vasanth does not believe it at first, then starts looking into the house's past, and realises his marriage is coming apart as well. Balasubramani KG uses the single-location horror structure. The narrative interweaves the supernatural event with the strain in the marriage, leaving it uncertain for a while which side is real. Jiiva plays Vasanth and Priya Bhavani Shankar plays Aaranya. Who it's for: Viewers who like Tamil horror, single-location thrillers, and supernatural narrative. Who it's not for: The horror elements run in familiar shapes and work through sudden noise. The explanatory section also lowers the tension.
