What Blind Trust Is About
A fast rising head of security at a government ministry wants a bag taken from an armoured truck. He runs the job through a middleman. The middleman goes to Théo, who used to keep a night club. Théo is about to come out of prison. What he asks for is money and a way out of the country with his son. The son is called Robin. Théo brings two people in. One is an ex convict and the other a small time thief. The plan is worked out down to the detail. But one of the men on the truck takes his job too seriously. Wounded, he locks himself inside the vehicle. He will not hand the bag over. That is where the plan comes apart. The film was adapted from a James Hadley Chase novel. It is reckoned the first real thriller Quebec cinema made. Marie Tifo and Pierre Curzi appear in the eighty six minute film, a Canadian production Yves Simoneau finished in 1986.
