Bluebird

The documentary is about a room in Nashville called the Bluebird Cafe. The place is small and it is not a usual stage. Songwriters perform their own songs there. Some names that are known today went on that stage when nobody knew them. Garth Brooks and Taylor Swift are among them. The film tells the stories of how they started. It also follows young songwriters trying to get on that stage now. Their preparations, their hopes and their disappointments are all visible. For some of them the room turns into a door. For others it stays an evening and nothing more. The place became a landmark by accident. The mark it left on the music history of the country is the subject of the account. The musicians speak in their own words. The film shows the distance between fame and the work behind it. Garth Brooks and Vince Gill speak in the eighty seven minute documentary. It is an American production Brian A. Loschiavo finished in 2019.
