Rolando Schiavi What Boca Juniors 3D: The Movie Is About
The documentary shows La Bombonera, the home of Boca Juniors and one of the great clubs of Argentine football, from the inside, taking in the noise of the terraces, the rituals of a match day and the bond the club has with its supporters. The account also carries the testimony of players who have worn the shirt: Diego Maradona, Carlos Tévez, Martín Palermo, Roberto Abbondanzieri, Guillermo Barros Schelotto and Rolando Schiavi all speak. The hundred and seven minute production directed by Rodrigo H. Vila was shot in three dimensions and presents the stadium less as a building than as a kind of crowd organism. The film tells football through belonging rather than through history.
