Boshko Buha

The film is based on a true story. A group of children, barely into their teens, join the Yugoslav Partisans after losing their families in the Second World War. At first the Partisans want to be rid of them; later the children too take their places in the fighting. Among them Bosko Buha became a legend for his skill at blowing up enemy bunkers. Rather than declaring the children heroes, the film shows what a war turns children into, which is the question nobody was asking them. Ivan Kujundzic and Dragan Bjelogrlic appear in Branko Bauer’s hundred and sixteen minute Yugoslav film, completed in 1978.
