What Seven Beauties Is About

To restore one sister's reputation he kills a man, goes to prison, is moved to an asylum, and is then sent to the front. He deserts, is captured, and finds himself in a camp, where he chooses the most degrading thing imaginable in order to survive. Wertmüller became the first woman nominated for the Best Director Oscar. Very hard material throughout.
