Boys Life

The collection is made of three short films, each about a young gay man on the threshold of adulthood. In the first, a seventeen year old named Justin takes a job as evening lifeguard at a fitness centre and over the summer comes to know himself. In the second, Winston arrives in New York from upstate for his first year at university and, with help from a friend from home, learns how to build a circle in the city. In the third, Tom looks back at 1978, the year he came out at high school, after one joyful and several painful encounters. The film had each story made by a different director and did not make their tones alike. The ninety one minute American film by Robert Lee King, Raoul O’Connell and Brian Sloan was completed in 1994.
