Bufo & Spallanzani

Ivan Canabrava writes for a living. For a time he carried out investigations for an insurance company. The deaths he looked into were strange. A frog poison had been used in them. The poison is called Bufo Marinus. The substance makes a person appear dead. Breathing and pulse seem to stop. In that way false deaths could be staged. Large insurance frauds were worked through it. Ten years go by. Canabrava is a known writer now. Then similar deaths start again. The old file is opened once more. Jose Mayer and Tony Ramos take the leads, with Matheus Nachtergaele also in the cast, in Flavio R. Tambellini’s Brazilian film of 2001.
