Bush's Brain

The documentary examines the part the political consultant Karl Rove played in the rise of George W. Bush. The methods Rove used on the road from the early campaigns in Texas to the White House are built out of the accounts of people who worked with him and people who ran against him. The film’s claim is plain: most of the decisions were taken at the consultant’s desk, and the methods of the campaign became the way of governing. The account takes a side and gives no room to Rove’s own defence; it is worth watching with that in mind. The eighty minute American documentary by Joseph Mealey and Michael Shoob was completed in 2004.
