What Chance of a Lifetime Is About
There is a small factory. It makes ploughs. There is friction between the workers and the owner. The owner is called Dickinson. Baxter does most of the complaining among the men. One day Dickinson says something in temper. He says they would see how hard it is if the job were theirs. The workers take it as a challenge. They elect two of their own, Stevens and Morris, to run the place. The press writes about a factory run by its workers. A trade delegation arrives to see the plough Dickinson had been developing. The order they place is a large one, but the new management makes mistake after mistake. Basil Radford and Bernard Miles appear in the eighty nine minute film, a British production Bernard Miles finished in 1950.
