Change My Mind

Three Czech citizens are at the centre of the documentary. All three doubt that the war in Ukraine is what it is said to be. They lean towards Russia and towards Putin. The director Robin Kvapil takes them into the war itself. The crew sets out from Prague. They go to Kharkiv and then on to the Donbas. The journey unfolds like a road movie. In the places they reach they see shelled streets. They meet the wounded. They walk through mass graves and schools moved underground. They come under fire themselves. What they are seeing collides with what they believe. The film keeps that collision in front of the camera. It does not hide its position and argues for the reality of the war. Whether meeting the facts face to face changes what a person believes is left open. The hundred minute documentary follows a journey from Prague to the Donbas. It is a Czech, Slovak and Ukrainian co-production Robin Kvapil finished in 2025.
