Charlie Strap and Froggy Ball Flying High

Charlie Strap and Froggy Ball live in a forest. Something odd is seen above the treetops. Plåt-Niklas quickly builds a spyglass. Through it they see that it is a distress signal. The two friends set out. Plåt-Niklas and the parrot go with them. Where they arrive is the land of the pine cones. The cones living there are under threat. A company wants to put a luxury hotel on the spot. A curious cone girl follows the company’s helicopter and is carried off. The friends set about saving both her and the whole land. The road takes them past Gripsholm Castle. It ends at Stockholm City Hall and the Nobel banquet. Thomas Funck wrote the screenplay and the music and did most of the voices. The characters were already known from radio and comics. The eighty three minute film won Jan Gissberg a Guldbagge, a Swedish production finished in 1991.
