Children of God: Lost and Found

The man who made this documentary was born inside a group. The group was called the Children of God. It was founded as a religious movement. Its founder was David Berg. The group became known for the sexual abuse of children. That abuse was documented years later. Noah Thomson grew up there and eventually left. Outside it he tried to build an ordinary life. But knowing what ordinary means is not simple. For the film he finds people who grew up in the same place. He talks with them and listens to their stories. Some have put themselves back together and some have not. Ricky Rodriguez is part of the account as well. He was raised in the group, and after leaving he killed a person and then took his own life. The film reports this without going into detail. Noah Thomson tells his own story in the documentary, an American production finished in 2007.
