Cinematographer Style

The documentary takes up cinematographers. The director Jon Fauer is a cinematographer himself. For his film he spoke with a hundred and ten of them. The people he spoke to come from fifteen countries. Each of them describes their own work. The subject is why a film looks the way it does. They talk about light, colour and framing. Some come from feature films. Some from television, some from advertising. There are people who shoot music videos as well. The interviews were shot on thirty five millimetre film. They were then brought together into a single account. Roger Deakins and Gordon Willis are among them. Jon Fauer directed the eighty six minute documentary. The American production was finished in 2006.
