Circo

The documentary follows a travelling circus. It is called Circo Mexico. It moves from town to town across rural Mexico. Tino Ponce runs it. The business came down from his father. Tino wants to keep it going. His own children perform in the shows. They are on stage very young. Tino works day and night at it. The money is never enough all the same. His wife is pulling further away from this life, and a strain is building inside the family. The film shows the weight of the work and the reckoning going on at home, with music by Calexico. Aaron Schock directed the seventy five minute documentary, a Mexican and American production finished in 2011.
