Cocaine Cowboys 2

Oakland, 1991. Charles Cosby sells cocaine on the street. One day he writes a fan letter to Griselda Blanco, a name known for the cocaine trade and at that point serving time in a federal prison. The letter is answered. Within six months Cosby is Blanco's lover and running a forty-million-dollar-a-year business. What follows is an operation directed from inside a prison. Billy Corben's documentary is the second film in the Cocaine Cowboys series. The account rests largely on Cosby's own testimony. What Blanco did is a matter of court record, but the fact that the man telling it was part of it shapes the film's point of view.
