A small town in Hungary, today. Misi comes here to take over the house and the land his grandfather left him. He is someone who has never settled anywhere, who has held on to neither a job nor a relationship. He starts repairing the house with a few men from the town, and that runs against the plans of the man who holds power in the district. Márk Kostyál's film joins a provincial drama to the tone of a western: heat, dust, a hierarchy nobody talks about, and a confrontation that becomes inevitable. Corruption here is not distant news but the daily working of the town. The film declares nobody a saviour; Misi is not a hero either, only someone boxed in. At over two hours it moves slowly and builds its tension in the waiting rather than in the ending.
