Dark Legacy

The documentary takes up the assassination of John F. Kennedy. It stands outside the established account, though. What the film puts forward is a conspiracy claim. By that claim George Herbert Walker Bush was part of the event. The film places him at every stage of the assassination. This claim appears in no official investigation. Nor is it accepted among historians. The documentary builds its case out of archival footage. Old statements and photographs are set side by side. The connections are made by interpretation. The telling stands on the side of the claimant throughout. No room is given to the opposing view. This account passes the claim on as the film’s claim. Not as established fact. The hundred and three minute documentary was directed by John Hankey. It is an American production finished in 2009.
