Dead Man's Line

The documentary is about a hostage taking in 1977. It happened in Indianapolis. Tony Kiritsis walked into a mortgage office. He held the broker Richard Hall at gunpoint. Then he called the emergency line. The call lasted forty minutes. His tone moved from calm to fury and to tears. After that he took Hall out onto the street. The two walked through the city centre. Police and press followed behind them. Nobody was able to step in. Kiritsis held the man for three days. Snipers and the bomb squad waited. The affair ended with a press conference broadcast live. The documentary brings together footage of the day and the people who were there. Tom Cochrun and David Coffman appear in the one hundred eight minute documentary. It is an American production Alan Berry and Mark Enochs finished in 2018.
