What Death on Holiday Is About
Mihai, Adrian and Patricia are all trying to get into the good graces of Rodica, a wealthy old woman living alone, and what every one of them wants is a share of the inheritance. The friendship the three of them strike up overnight is exactly that sincere. Cristian Ilișuan’s black comedy runs as a road film and was shot mostly in Greece, on the island of Poros, with scenes in Romania and Bulgaria as well. It opened in Romanian cinemas in October 2024 and did well. Its subject is not the inheritance but what people are actually looking at when they look after someone.
