Deewana Mastana

Two men are pursuing Neha, a psychiatrist. Raja is a small-time crook passing himself off as a rich man returned from abroad. Bunnu is her patient. Both approach her at the same time and put together outlandish schemes to outdo each other. After a point even they no longer know who is fooling whom. Directed by David Dhawan, the film is in the Hindi comedy mould of the nineties: exaggerated, fast, and resting entirely on the timing between its two leads. Anil Kapoor, Govinda and Juhi Chawla take the leads. The telling is less a love story than a comedy of two men wearing each other down. It is one of the well-liked Hindi comedies of the nineties.
