Remedy

Mürvet has just finished her training as a midwife. She is posted from Ankara to eastern Anatolia. The place she is going to is a village. Snow blocks the journey. A blizzard cuts her off on the road. That is when she meets Şehmuz. Şehmuz is an outlaw. This is how their paths cross. Mürvet reaches the village in the end. She delivers babies there. She looks after sick children. She sees the conditions the villagers live in. What is between her and Şehmuz goes on as well. The distance between the one who arrives and the place she arrives in is the subject. The film took four prizes at Antalya in 1983, with Hülya Koçyiğit named best actress. Tarık Akan and Talat Bulut also appear in the eighty eight minute film, a Turkish production Şerif Gören finished in 1983.
