Muleteers

Rüstem, Abdurrahman and Ramazan live in a village on the border. All three of them work as muleteers. They make their living carrying goods across the border. What they carry includes tea, bulgur and tobacco. One day the gendarmes catch them. Around the same time a journalist comes to the village. Ayşegül is to report on the smuggling. The muleteers are taken to the town to be tried. The road is long and covered in snow. Ayşegül joins the party as well. The journey goes on for days. Tiredness and cold level everyone out. As the talk goes on the sides come to know each other. Kadir İnanır and Ayşegül Aldinç take the leads, with Halil Ergün also in the cast, in Şerif Gören’s Turkish film of 1987.
