What Dingo Is About
John Anderson grows up in a small town in Western Australia. One day a plane lands on the town’s airstrip. The plane has had to change its route. Jazz musicians come out of it. Billy Cross is among them. The group starts playing beside the strip. The boy never forgets that scene. Years pass and John has a family. He makes his living tracking dingoes. In the evenings he plays trumpet in a local band. The dream of playing with Billy Cross stays with him. In the end he decides to go to Paris.
