Don't Take Me Home

The documentary takes up the Wales national football team. The team took part in the European Championship of 2016. The tournament was held in France. It was the team’s first major tournament since 1958. The gap between them was close to fifty eight years. Nobody expected anything great from them. But the team got out of the group and kept going. In the end they reached the semi-final. The country followed that run closely. The film tells that journey from beginning to end. Players and the manager speak in it. Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and Chris Coleman appear, with Ben Davies and Joe Allen, in Jonny Owen’s British documentary of 2017.
