Dorm is director Songyos Sugmakanan's first solo feature, a horror mystery set in a boarding school. The film won the Crystal Bear for Best Film at the 57th Berlin Film Festival's Generation Kplus section in 2007, voted on by an 11 member children's jury. That same year it swept five of ten nominations, including Best Film and Best Director, at the 15th Thailand National Critic Awards, and won Best Editing and Best Art Direction at the 2007 Thailand National Film Association Awards.
