Ebbe - The Movie: Mannen, Myten, Affären

Ebbe Carlsson was a well known publisher in Sweden. He was close to politics and to journalism. In 1986 Prime Minister Olof Palme was killed. The murder was never solved and left a great gap in the country. Carlsson decided to look into it himself. He used the connections he had. He ran his inquiry outside the official investigation. The justice minister quietly backed him. In 1988 the business reached the newspapers. What came out turned into a scandal. It emerged that illegal listening equipment had been brought in from abroad. The justice minister resigned. The heads of the police and of the security service left their posts as well. The documentary tells that affair and tells Carlsson himself. Ebbe Carlsson and witnesses of the period appear in it, a Swedish production Karin af Klintberg and Jane Magnusson finished in 2009.
