Eddie: Strongman

Eddie Hall is a truck mechanic, a husband and a father of two. His aim is to be the world’s strongest man. The documentary shows what that aim costs him: training, eating and sleeping take up the whole of his life. He travels the world for competitions and breaks records. It is not only his rivals he faces; there are also the wounds left from his teenage years. The film tells strength not as a display but together with what is paid for it. Where his family stands inside that order is a subject of its own. Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson and Geoff Capes also appear. Matt Bell’s ninety eight minute British documentary was completed in 2015.
