Eugenio

Eugenio was a well known comedian in Spain. His real name was Eugeni Jofra Bafalluy. On stage he always wore black. He held a drink and a cigarette. His face never broke into a smile. He began every joke with the same line. The documentary tells his life. He started out in music. He had formed a duo with his wife at the time. The duo came close to going to Eurovision. Then he moved to comedy. The years that followed were hard. Addiction and depression came into his life. Twenty years have passed since his death. His children, his friends and his colleagues speak. What they describe is the distance between the man on stage and the man at home. Jordi Rovira and Xavier Baig made the ninety three minute film, a Spanish production finished in 2018.
