What Fake Doll Is About
A clumsy detective, Dr Kardos, goes after a heroin operation running between Greece, Hungary and Germany and calls in his old colleague Otvos Csopi, now working privately. What follows is loud, full of punches and deliberately absurd. Istvan Bujtor wrote, directed, produced and starred, and this is the fourth entry in the Otvos Csopi and Dr Kardos series. It opened on 13 December 1991 and became the most watched Hungarian film of that year. The earlier films in the run were set around Lake Balaton; this time the trail leads out of the country. Andras Kern and Laszlo Kozak are in the cast.
