What Farmageddon Is About
The documentary opens with the account of a mother who says her son was freed of his allergies and his asthma after being fed raw milk and food from farms. That claim is the film’s own; the documentary is built as an openly partisan case and does not give the opposing view the same room. The film is about people across the country who formed cooperatives and private clubs to obtain such foods, and about the raids on them by state and local authorities. What the account is really after is the conflict between regulation and the choice of the consumer. Kristin Canty’s eighty six minute American documentary was completed in 2011.
