Fascism Inc.

The documentary takes up fascism together with economic interests. Its argument is stated openly and set out from the start. In every period, it says, money stands behind fascism. The account begins with the Italy of Mussolini. From there it moves to Greece. It covers the years under Nazi occupation. The civil war and the years of the junta follow. The Germany of Hitler is drawn into the same frame. Then it comes up to the present. It examines current movements in Europe and in Greece. It works through examples that are little known. It puts the role of industrialists, banks and companies to the front. The film is not a neutral account. It selects its material to build its case. It does not hide that either. The eighty three minute documentary was directed by Aris Chatzistefanou. It is a German, Greek, Italian, Spanish and British co-production finished in 2014.
