What Fill 'er Up with Super Is About

A young car salesman has to give up the holiday he planned with his wife in order to drive a big American car down to its new owner on the Riviera. He decides to make the best of it: first he brings an old friend along, then two more men who want to head south join them. Four men, one car and a long road. Alain Cavalier builds the film almost entirely out of talk; what matters is not what happens but what these people tell each other. One of the most relaxed, most everyday and least constructed looking works of seventies French cinema.
