Flowing Gold

A man called Johnny is running from the law. The charge on him is murder. The charge is false. He is looking for somewhere to hide. Where he ends up is the American oilfields. A small company takes him on. The work is heavy labour on the rigs. The company is not doing well. If oil comes up, everything changes. Johnny works alongside a man called Hap. The two of them become friends. Then a woman named Linda comes between them. She is Hap’s girlfriend. Johnny and Linda grow close. The film is adapted from a novel. John Garfield and Frances Farmer appear in the eighty one minute film, an American production Alfred E. Green finished in 1940.
