The Girl from 10th Avenue

Geoffrey Sherwood is a well known lawyer. His fiancée Valentine leaves him. He goes on a drinking bout. That night he marries a stranger. Her name is Miriam Brady. Both are startled the next morning. They decide to give the marriage a chance anyway. Their landlady takes a hand. She was on the stage in her own youth. She sets about teaching Miriam how to carry herself. Geoffrey meanwhile gets back on his feet at work, and Valentine turns up again just then. Miriam tells her exactly what she thinks, and Geoffrey moves out to his club, where Valentine’s husband tells him he is a fool to leave her. Bette Davis and Ian Hunter appear in the sixty nine minute film, an American production Alfred E. Green finished in 1935.
