For Men Only

Elham and Salwa are chemical engineers. Both are taken on at the oil company in Cairo. What they want is not a desk, though. They want to look for new wells in the desert. The company’s rule does not allow it. Only men are sent out there. The two of them find a way. They dress as men and set off. In the desert they join the crew. Nobody recognises them. They live in the same tent and do the same work. To keep the disguise they have to hold down their own feelings. The further the job goes, the harder that gets. The film builds this as a comedy. Nadia Lotfi and Soad Hosny appear in the hundred minute film, an Egyptian production Mahmoud Zulfiqar finished in 1964.
